We presented Spectraflame fuel at the Southern Women's Home Show at the Orlando Convention Center in October of 2002, the Holiday Extravaganza in Kissimmee in December of 2002, and the Atlanta's Mart Gift Show at the Orlando Convention Center in February of 2003. We will continue to show the world that colored flames are changing the candle industry forever. The Spectraflame Story

	Spectraflame is a revolutionary new way to enjoy colored flames. Over seven years in development, the color flame lamp is now a reality. The secrets are in the Spectraflame fuel and the lamp itself.
	Spectraflame fuel is not an oil, but a water soluble product. You can actually add 10% water to the fuel and the fuel still burns! It is easy to wash out of clothes and best of all, if it is spilled while lit, it does not ignite like other oil based products.
	Spectraflames had its conceptual beginning in 1950 when Sherman D. Lesesne, PhD. from Georgetown, Texas attempted to make a solid candle that burned with a colored flame. His goal was to make the candle wax itself produce the color in the flame and not just an additive to the wick.
	He and his wife started the Mar-Jon Candle Factory in Georgetown, Texas in 1968. Their son, John Lesesne and Roy Creek picked up the work after Dr. Lesesne passed away in 1994. Using Dr. Lesesne' s pioneer work, a liquid candle was produced along with a special fuel lamp and wick that is tuned to the characteristics of the Spectraflame fuels. The first experimental prototypes were ready for the year 2000 Christmas Season.
	Spectraflames have been successfully used in church services, Christmas extravaganzas, and at social functions. The use of these lamps ranges from personal mood lighting and dining to large social events. Wherever a candle or oil lamp flame is needed, Spectraflame lamp fuel can be used.
	Spectraflames is presently available in green, red, yellow, blue and autumn. The color purple is expected to be added in the near future. All that is required to use Spectraflame fuels is an oil lamp and a wick. A lamp pick and eyedropper are optional accessories.
	Always place any oil lamp on a fire proof surface. Replacement lamps and refills of the fuel are also available. Just click on "Products" at the top of the page.
	Due to physical limitations, Spectraflame lamp fuel will not work properly in oil lamps with a flat wick.
